Legal Warranties

1. General Principle
Products sold on galatee-decoration.com benefit from the legal guarantees applicable to consumers.
These guarantees apply independently of any commercial guarantee that may be offered.
2. Legal Guarantee of Conformity
The legal guarantee of conformity protects the consumer when the delivered product does not conform to the contract.
A product may be non-conforming when it:
- does not match the description;
- does not have the advertised qualities;
- is not suitable for the usual use of a good of the same type;
- is not suitable for a specific use accepted by the Seller;
- is not delivered with the advertised accessories, instructions, or elements;
- has a defect existing at the time of delivery.
3. Duration
For new and used goods, the consumer has the period provided by law to request the application of the legal guarantee of conformity.
Defects appearing within the legal deadlines are handled according to the rules applicable to the legal guarantee.
4. Possible Solutions
In case of a lack of conformity, the customer can request:
- repair;
- replacement.
When repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, not carried out within a reasonable time, or causes a major inconvenience, the customer can request:
- a price reduction;
- or cancellation of the sale, when the legal conditions are met.
5. Craft Materials and Conformity
Normal variations related to natural materials, handcrafted finishes, tadelakt, mineral textures, patinas, or nuances do not necessarily constitute a defect when they are compatible with the product description or visible in the photographs.
This clarification does not limit consumer rights in the event of a genuine lack of conformity.
6. Hidden Defects Guarantee
The customer can also act under the guarantee against hidden defects when the hidden defect makes the product unfit for its intended use or diminishes this use to such an extent that the customer would not have bought it or would have paid a lower price for it.
7. Commercial Guarantee
Unless otherwise indicated in a product sheet or specific document, no commercial guarantee distinct from the legal guarantees is offered.
Any eventual commercial guarantee does not replace or limit the legal guarantees.
8. Warranty Claim
For any warranty claim, the customer should write to:

- the order number;
- the product name;
- a description of the problem;
- photographs of the product;
- photographs of the packaging, if useful;
- any information useful for analysis.
9. Costs
When the defect is covered by a legal guarantee, the costs necessary for processing the guarantee are not charged to the customer.
The customer should not return a bulky, fragile, or heavy item without first contacting customer service.
